I had jock itch problem for 2-3 months. Then I applied medications like itch guard and eclospan and dermiford and clinic spirit for 2-3 weeks then it was gone. But since 2-3 days it has came back again in round red rashes continues in chain. What should I do now?

Jock itch can be a chronic condition is treatment is left in the middle or inappropriate treatment taken. Dermiford is a potent steroid cream and should be avoided in all such cases. It may show improvement when you apply it only to increase even rapidly after you stop using. This leads to repeated use of these steroid creams and also does no help in getting rid of the infection. As the infection is from such a long time, you probably require oral treatment. However this may require in person examination. You can do following things before consultation is available: 1. Take twice a day bath to clean the area: do not scrub the area however 2. Do not apply dermiford or spirit as it damages skin. 3. Apply dusting power like onecan powder or candid powder twice to thrice a day over the affected area. 4. Do not wear jean/tight clothing: this may lead to more sweating and more infection.
