Can a person contract a sexually transmitted disease or diseases without indulging in any kind of sexual activity (including sexually touching, non penetrative and penetrative sex ). Specifically, I did not ever and do not indulge in any sexual activity but I need to know what sexually transmitted diseases are contracted by general social activity such as shaking hands, being in cramped spaces, eating in restaurants, drinking from public taps, using public washrooms, contact sports such as wrestling, etc. A person I know below the age of 16 has been diagnosed with an std after using a public swimming pool and the doctor said it was a result of swimming and using contaminated public services including the pool. How can i, a celibate prevent sexually transmitted disease to myself? I would appreciate answers from a doctor/s understanding my questions. Thank you very much. Namaste.
