I am suffering from constipation. I tried triphala, isabgol, milk-honey, figs, apples, guava, papaya etc. But still I do not feel pressure in the morning. I have to take stimulant laxative like dulcolax or kayam churna for bowel motion. But sometimes they cause 2-3 bowel movements and mucus in stool. Can I take sorbiline syrup 15 ml daily on an empty stomach for constipation for 5-6 months? Is it harmful for colon and intestines? Can it cause inflammation in intestine? Can it cause colitis or mucus in stool? Please help me.

Sometimes it's difficult to distinguish between discomfort in your stomach and intestines. You might feel cramping or bloating in your intestines that pushes upward on your stomach. As a result, you could feel stomach discomfort while the area of constipation is really in your intestines. Let's have a detailed discussion to ensure proper treatment.
