My father in law is suffering from right leg gangrene. His ct scan of report says: right: complete thrombotic occlusion of right sided common iliac, external iliac, common femoral, parts of deep femoral and proximal 2/3rd of superficial femoral artery with reformation of distal sfa. Complete thrombotic occlusion of distal 1/3rd of right sided ata and peroneal arteries. Left: complete thrombotic occlusion of left superficial femoral artery in its osteo proximal portion with reformation in the midcourse, reformed mid sfa shows moderate irregular narrowing. Other findings: left sided gross pleural effusion noted. multiple sclerotic densities of varying sizes involving visualized dorsolumbar vertebrae, pelvic bones and proximal femurs- concern for mitotic deposits. He is having advancedstage of lung cancer kindly suggest.

It looks to be a complicated case. Frankly speaking nothing much can b done. He can be shown to a vascular surgeon for. Embolectomy with amputation of the leg at the level of demarcation.
