My mother 82 years old. Father expired in march 2019. Mother having problem of lack of sleep, abdomen pain round the clock and constipation. Get up every 1 - 2 hour for bathroom in night. Walking with support of attendant. No diabetes, ht. Tried various medicine by local psychiatrist like isozex, size, clopin 10 mg, prothiaden etc. All reports endoscopy, ct abdomen normal. Diet normal. For abdomen pain we are giving thyroxine p 1/2 to 1 tablet daily and for sleep alprax 0.25 mg and ativan 1 mg at 10.30 pm then alprax 0.5 mg and ativan 1 mg at 12.30 night but no sleep and for constipation 1 - 2 tsf of picolan liquid. Weight approx. 40 kg. So main complain is lack of sleep, pain abdomen, constipation. Pl. Adv medicine.

Abdominal pain is not cured by thyroxine. I would recommend to check thyroid levels because thyroxine is a thyroid replacement medicine. Please check your mother's thyroid profile.
