Hi , Bleeding from gums denotes that Ur gums are not healthy. Only wen the gums r swollen bleeding occurs. This is called gingivitis. Swollen gums is due to accumulation of dirt inside the gums. These deposits are called as calculus, which cannot be removed by normal brushing. U need to go to a dentist who will do a thorough cleaning for you. This procedure is called as scaling. Once the scaling is done, u need to maintain well. How to maintain:- 1- Brush twice daily.( most of us brush twice daily but still dirt accumulates. It is because the METHOD of brushing is not right) 2- Brushing shud be done only for 2 minutes or less. 3- change your brush every 2 or 3 months. Do not use frayed brush. 4- you can use soft or medium brush. Do not use hard brush. 5- Rinse Ur mouth thoroughly after every meal, snacks etc. This is very very important. 6- The METHOD of brushing is very important. For this I advice u to check Bass technique of tooth brushing demo video on YouTube. That would be more helpful. 7- It is advice to get scaling done once in every 6 months. If u maintain well once in a year also will do. Hope this is helpful.
