My son is a spastic boy since birth, age 23, weight 33 kg. He has got a urine fungal infection called candida albicans. I have tested 2 times the urine re, culture & fungal culture test from a pathological lab at kolkata. They found puss cell 26-28/ h.p.f, yeast present with pseudo-hyphae. He has given 10 days course of medicine fluconazole (syscan, the medicine name). After completing the medicine course, I again (after 15 days of medicine completion) examined the same urine sample from 2 different renowned laboratory of kolkata. But strange thing is now there is a big difference in reports of those 2 labs. One lab says puss cell 40-42/h.p.f & yeast pseudo-hyphae present & fungal culture reports shows ?candida albicans? present. But, the 2nd report says that puss cell is just 7-8/h.p.f & a few yeast cells present. No red blood cells or no cast seen. I will get the fungal report from this lab tomorrow. Now what should I do. Is it curable. Please suggest.
