Hello my grandmother is 78 years old she had cancer stage 4 in her colon the doctors called it a (hidden cancer) so she went for a surgery to cut a part of the colon to eliminate a very big tumor since it is stage 4 the cancer also did spread to the ovaries so the doctors removed part of the colon and the two ovaries. The surgery went very well. But after the surgery she started to have pain in the colon region even with best medication that the doctor prescribed it does not work sometimes the pain is very bad she will feel good for sometime but again the pain returns it is like a cycle every day I was asking is it the cancer that has returned or something is wrong with the surgery. unfortunately my grandmother is a smoker.

Well it may be due to the cancer as it has not cured, only removal of organ doesn't cure cancer all the time, very few time it can be subsided but most of the time it remains, you should consult with your doctor for this purpose.
