Hii I want to know does silofast 8 mg helps to dissolve kidney stone of 5 mm in kidney ureter junction?

Yes, it does, but patient has to have a normal renal function, and no pain and fever. If the stone does not pass out with regular use of this medication, in two weeks, then it is advisable to get in removed endoscopically.

Silofast contains silodosin which is a alpha blocker. This may help in spontaneous expulsion of lower ureteric stone but it should be only taken with the advice of qualified urologist. But it never dissolves the stone.
