You can take for appropriately one year consecutively and then give it a break..the tablet can be restarted once u start experiencing the symptoms again, with only a slightly increased risk of urinary retention in the above said window period (period without medication)..however do keep a watch on ur flow rates and postvoid urine volume on ultrasound periodically.
