In government hospitals they are providing idrv based rabies vaccination and the entire course is 4 doses 0,3,7 and 28 with erig on day 0 for post exposure. So, here, I am completed 1 dose im rabipur on day 0 because government hospital staff is not available on same day and second day taken erig as per my body weight from government hospital. My question is, 1) idrv causes any side effects? 2) can I take im based on 14th day same as rabipur? 3) how many day's side effects last? Side effects are like little pain on injected site, lite reddish, pain on elbow sometimes (happened after the vaccine 24 hrs later). Today is day 7 for me. The bitten dog is dead and it is 7 months old. The dog born on my street with other dogs and all other dogs and that mother is safe, very active. But it is a street dog, do I need any more precaution? May I know what type of idrv vaccine is giving in government hospital (hdcv/pcec/vec)?
