I am 20 years old I have bald patches. Dermatologist prescribed me Minoxidil 5%(MX 5) For past 7 months I am using it daily 1 ml at morning and night. I didn't not see any hair growth on my scalp. I got side effects, small hair growth on cheek i.e. Under eyes/cheek please tell me why hair is not growing on scalp and whether the hair growth on cheek/under eyes is due to Minoxidil or hormonal changes (dht)

What sort of bald patches you are referring. You need to consult a Dermatologist again. Regarding your excess hair growth on your cheeks, yes this could be be because of improper uses of minoxidil. May be you are not washing your hands after applying minoxidil or it could also occur because of dribling of minoxidil if you immedoately go to bed after applying.
