I am 20 years old. I am suffering from constipation. I consume Pet Safa (ayurvedic laxative brand) every second day. Now, I have read somewhere that consuming ayurvedic or allopathic laxative for longer periods will cause chronic constipation in the future (loss of peristalsis in gut) which will be extremely difficult to treat. The problem is that I am sure the problem will come if I consume allopathic laxative but is it same for the ayurvedic laxative too? Can, I take Pet Safa regularly or I should stop consuming it for the betterment.
