I am 26 years old. I have Polycystic ovaries syndrome. I have done several test and reports are ok except the prolactin level. My prolactin level is 45 ng/ml. Dr. has prescribed me to take caberlin 0.25 twice a week for 3 months. My question is that am I capable to get pregnant after treatment because I tried to conceive several times but was unsuccessful every time. Please suggest me what should I do.

High prolactin levels may cause infertility. Another term for high prolactin levels is hyperprolactinemia. Women who are not pregnant and are not breastfeeding should have low levels of prolactin. If a non-pregnant woman has abnormally high levels of prolactin, it may cause her difficulty in becoming pregnant. Causes of high prolactin levels 1. Hypothyroidism 2. PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) 3. Stress So if your PCOS, prolactin are controlled, you should be able to conceive.
