My husband is taking Wysolone 10 mg tablet thrice a day for cough and chest congestion for last 2 days, he is a diabetic with sugar levels under 110?115, with medication, Galvusmet 850 twice a day, and exercise 5 days a week. Now after taking Wysolone his Sugar level has suddenly spike to 145 (fasting) and 195 (PP). Is this normal? Will it come down again to normal level once Wysolone is stopped?

Hello, Thanks for the query. Prednisolone present in that tablet has a diabetogenic action, meaning increasng the blood gluose level. SO as long as that drug is being taken there is bound to be an increase in the blood glucose level. Thanks.
