Hi, I think i am suffering from pericoronitis. But a different case. My wisdom tooth is covered by muscle or gum from the side wall of the mouth. I can give you photos. The normally covering gum in my case arises from the side wall near the wisdom tooth.

Hi lybrate-user. Yes few cases are like yours but the treatment is the same. So please see a good Oral Surgeon and have the tooth extracted. In the meanwhile keep the area clean and do warm salt water gargles when its swollen and painful.
