Hi, What is polishing of teeth? Can it remove plaque deposit? How is it done? Is it painful?

5 Doctors Answered
Plaque is removed with a procedure called scaling smoothening the rough surfaces of teeth after that is called polishing
Its done after Scaling. Its not painful. Only polishing will not help you. You will need Scaling followed by polishing.
no its not pain ful scaling and polishing to remove plaque and stain
Hi. Yes Scaling/ Cleaning and polishing will remove plaque, calculus and stains from your teeth. It will be done by a dentist. No it's not painful.
No not at all painful. Polishing is done to restore microscopic roughness of your teeth after scaling. It will prevent your teeth from easy staining and food deposition after scaling.
