My mother is 45 years old. There is a noticeable muscle loss (particularly hands) for past 10 months gradually, she took full body checkup 6 months back and everything is good. Her food intake is good but there is lack of sound sleep. Is it due to aging or some illness?

It might be because of aging. There is vaat aggravation in the body with increasing age. That might be the reason behind her low sleep. Put 2-2 drops of lukewarm ksheerbala oil in both nostrils at bed time. Also may give ayurveda medicines.

No 45 is not an age to lose your muscle mass, she is too young for that. How is her appetite? Maintain active life style (the most important factor to retain muscle mass. Then whatever is your age- it doesn't matter) Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. Drink lot of water. Take half cup of cold milk when you feel acidity, it will help. Curd is good for u. Exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, Swimming, gymming, walking etc.
