Hi Doctor, I am of 27 years of age. I had unprotected sex with an HIV + woman and 44 hours later I was put on Trivenz PEP. I am currently on week 3 of PEP and I was so worried that on day 12 post exposure exposure I did a Qualitative DNA PCR HIV 1 test. The test came back Negative. I have a 4th Generation Test scheduled for 5 weeks post exposure. My questions are is the negative DNA PCR test a good sign and is test done 5 weeks post exposure going to be a good indication if negative? Thank you.
