Dear lybrateuser, - The symptoms of malaria include high fever with chills, profuse sweating, headache, weakness, nausea, vomiting, in severe cases loss of consciousness & organ failure - it is spread by the bite of a mosquito, so the breeding & bite has to be prevented by taking some precautions : - avoid stagnation of water in & around the house especially in drains, tanks, containers, apply mosquito repellent gel/cream on exposed body parts, wear full sleeve shirt & trousers to avoid bite, do mosquito proofing of windows by installing wire mesh, sleep in mosquito net, use mosquito repellent coils & mats in room.
