Hi Doctor, My baby is 2.5 months old. She is having cough and cold since 3 days. Had been to pead today and he prescribed event dry syrup (3 ml twice a day) mucolite (8 drops). However am reluctant to give event syrup since it is antibiotic and the baby is too small. And just to give mucolite and nasal drops. Please give your opinion Be 2.6 kg CW 4.6 kg.

If you are worried about side effects then consult and give Homoeopathic treatment.. Minimum Medicine and no side effects.. But if want to give allopathic then not giving antibiotics will be wrong. As infection is cause and without antibiotics the other medicines will just suppress the symptoms for few hours.. And what if it developed into pneumonia.. Then you will need to admit and give major antibiotics injection... Think about it.. You can consult me if still you have confusion.
