I am 28 years old and I am In Pharma as an Area Manager and I chew tobacco Mawa from last 5 years from last week I have Gingivitis problems, I am using Metrogyl DG GEL, and Oraflora tab. Along with cefpodoxime 200 In BID but I have not getting relief .There is Submucous fibrosis in my mouth as there is some white or red patches available from last 2-3 years and I have some restrictions in mouth opening, But right now I am not getting relief from gingivitis so what can I do please suggest me I am really very afraid.

This is a precancerous condition stop tobbaco consult a peridontist n maxillofacial surgeon you will require gum tt n also may b surgery med n physiotherapy for osmf don't delay it could b serious.

Hi. The above medicines Will not work for Submucous fibrosis. For gingivitis- Rinse your mouth properly after eating anything. Brush twice daily especially after meals before going to bed. Visit a dentist for Scaling/ cleaning. Do salt warm water rinses. For Submucous fibrosis- Quitting of tobacco habit is a must. Intralesional corticosteroids into the cheek areas. Surgery is the last option.

Gum infection is the most common cause for the bleeding gums, get scaling and polishing done by a dentist. Brush twice daily.
