Hi after my husband was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure I changed my salt to Rock salt that is sandha namak. It shows it does not contain Iodine. Do all sandha namak not have Iodine? What is the risk to me & my child in eating rock salt without Iodine as it is an essential mineral needed by our body & prevents Goitre & thyroid. What would you suggest which salt is better for my husband & for me & my child? Table salt with iodine or sandha namak without iodine?

Firstly we should rule out the cause of his high blood pressure and if he is having any odema in the legs or face than only we should think of a substitute for table salt or otherwise we should make him eat food without salt unless until proven otherwise and for the family who are asymptomatic we should be using a normal regular table salt
