Hello I am having two gallbladder stones of 12 mm each. But there is no pain. So should I do the surgery? My doctor advised as there is no pain, you don't need to do it now.

Dear Lybrate user, two stones of 12 mm each in the gallbladder are most likely to end up with acute attack which might complicate the surgery due to edema and adhesions. According to the recent norms we follow proceeding to surgery even if it's asymptomatic based on the size of the stone and the age of the patient. Therefore I advise you to get lap cholecystectomy done though not an emergency now.
