I had seen blood stains in urine a year back and now only irritation and pain persist. However doctor has recommended cystoscopy. So when checked regarding cystoscopy hospital A says it is a procedure and patient needs to be admitted for 12 to 20 hrs and costs around 30k. Hospital B says it just takes around 15-20 mins and costs around 10k. If there is need for any procedure found during cystoscopy then it will take half an hour and price might go up to 15k. So I am confused regarding this. Can someone tell me what exactly is cystoscopy and how long it takes.

Most of the time cystsccopy can be done under local anaesthesia. A new device "Flexible Cystoscopy" is very good, causes minimum discomfort to the patient & can be performed as an OPD procedure.
