Dear Doctors, This question is for my wife. She has PCOS and after going through treatment she conceived on 1st april. Now she is 8 weeks pregnant. But in only three weeks we had 3 USG. First it was at 5 weeks. To confirm pregnancy .Then one week later for I.e 6 weeks for heartbeat. And now yesterday on 8th week 6 days. For Cardiac Activity .As she found brown spotting a week ago. Which was not there after that single day. But my concern is all USGs were performed internal. And I was not allowed to listen heartbeat. Is this normal to have 3 scans in such short time? And internal scans at 8 weeks? She is heavy weighted 96 kgs.

No problem at all. Good she conceived. There is no problem in doing scans at such short intervals and no problem with internal scan. All the best. She has to take enough rest.
