Hello Doctor, I am 35 year married lady with a daughter. I have CNVM and I have taken 6 Avastin injections and it comes back on every 4/5 months. Things appear blur to me and after injection it is fine for few months. How can I get rid of it? Is there any permanent cure for this in India? Please help!

Hello lybrate-user, don?t worry Choroid neovascularisation otherwise known as CNVM is the creation of new blood vessels in the choroid layer of eye. This is a common symptom of degenerative maculopathy. In ayurveda, there are several medicines and external therapies are available for healing this form of macular degeneration. These are given below. *Tarpana shall be carried on for 14 to 21 days. It shall be noted that the patient should give absolute rest to eye while in treatment. *There are several medicines available which are beneficial in CNVM *They include amalaki, triphala, tulasi, spirulina, punarnava and satavari. *Consume vegetables such as carrot which is rich in carotene. *Blackberries, cherries and blueberries are very essential as they contain flavonoids. *Avoid sitting near tv and computer for a longer duration.
