Dear lybrateuser, - Stop smoking as it is harming your lungs & other vital organs of the body - do investigations, blood CBC, sputum exam & x- ray chest to rule out any other problem - also try to lead a healthy lifestyle, have a well balanced diet with more of fruits, vegetables, whole grains instead of refined ones, protein rich foods such as eggs, non veg, milk & milk products, soya products, tofu, beans, lentils, pulses, nuts - have plenty of oral fluids including 7-8 glasses of water per day - do regular exercise like jigging, swimming, cycling, yoga & deep breathing for proper blood circulation so that the toxins are removed from the body & the toxic effects of smoking are reversed.
