My dentist suggested me RCT, currently I am taking homeopathy medicine Arnica Montana and kerosote Q for my tooth (which was suffering from extreme pain and sensitivity). Few days back only I gone through amalgam filling but the pain and sensitivity increases. After taking these homeopathy medicine, sensitivity is gone & pain is reduced to 10% but is levelling on 10% and not reducing from last 2 days. What should I do now?

Hi, plan for Root canal treatment. You may get pain once the infection reaches the pulp (nerve). Temporarily pain maybe be relieved by medication. But that is not a permanent solution. You may get pain at any time. So plan for your RCT.

You should undergo the procedure of root canal treatment as it is the best and the last treatment for root for saving tooth. Avoid the medicines and take those medicines during the course of the root canal treatment.

When the situation occurs of pain in tooth it only means there is inflammation of the pulp. And more specifically amalgum filling or any other restoration may not help. Pl get an xray done and if the dentist has suggested you an rct it is suggested you go through it. Pain may subside on taking other remedy but it is obvious that infection inside will definitely increase. So why wait.
