Initial detection: Pleural effusion in left side. Cancer cell detected in fluid. Triple negative breast cancer [ER-, PR-, HER 2- (FISH test)]. No other place has any cancer like symptoms. Treatment till today: Treated with Adriamycin + Cytoxan for 4 sessions (once every 3 weeks). Very weak after 4th chemo. Doctor is REFUSING to start Taxol due to weakness. Currently no chemo or treatment being taken, pleural fluid buildup has returned after initial reduction, increased and spreading on right side. Stomach has seen many small red swellings. Biopsy for it shows cancer is spreading after stopping the chemo. Patient is too weak to take the pleural fluid out. Does stopping chemo after taking it initially cause cancer to spread rapidly? Does taxol side effect are too bad to not take it? Does it help to take taxol in smaller doses? What else can be done?
