My tooth sensitivity is gone after tooth filling (filling with silver amalgam) but I still have pain, even after 2 days of filling. What could be the Reason?

It may take few day to week for pain to subside. It can be related to procedures during filling. If pain persists longer that usual or increases intensity, visit a dentist to check if tooth cavity has involved the vital pulp tissue. In that case simple filling is not the solution, you may need to undergo Pulpotomy, pulpectomy or RCT.

One of the cause is high point. Visit dentist and discuss your concern. Removal of excess filling material will correct that. And if pain remain present after this step, there r chances of deep cavity/present infection under filling. RCT is must in that case. Yr dentists approach is right, his/her is conservative.
