Respected Doctor My baby was born on 5-01-2018 at 36th week of pregnancy. Then he was admitted to NICU as signs of jaundice were seen and discharged on 8-01-2018. Then again on 11-01-2018 he was again admitted to NICU because of jaundice. Then on 12-01-2018 (8th day) doctor did test of TSH, T3 and T4 (where TSH was found 10.87 uIu/ml and low T3 thereafter doctor recommended dosage of eltroxin of 25 mcg for 3 years of life due to suspected hypothyroidism & advise us to repeat TSH level after 3 years & hence we have started giving the 25 mcg dosage to Baby since 12.01.2018 Meanwhile, we again tested for TSH, T3 and T4 on 28-01-2018, TSH came out less than 0.05 ulu/ml Kindly advise whether we stop the dosage of eltroxin (25 mcg) or Lower the dosage.

You should reduce the dose and extend the dose like gave alternate days or in two or three days than do the test if its in normal range you should stop as their are too many side effects giving medicine at this age.
