Whether TSH is 27.13 mU/L or 15.30 mU/L it is too high. Normally TSH values do not change so drastically. It takes over 4 to 6 weeks for the TSH to reduce after a regular intake of adequate dosage of Levothyroxine
. Another important aspect is that if you are desirous of having a baby, then it is absolutely essential that TSH has to be maintained < 2 mU/L, to get conception and then to maintain the pregnancy and have healthy growth of the fetus and have a desired outcome. There are trimester specific values of TSH that need to be maintained.
