Every 3 to 4 months I get hard stools and when I pass hard stools, there is lot of pain and bleeding. I had consulted many doctors. Everyone told that it's fissures. But I am getting scared if it is piles. But I only get hard stools when I take any medicines or if I eat spicy foods. I apply Shield ointment to the anal opening. I take cremaffin syrup at night and after two days this problem will get solved and again after 4 months same problem arises. I also have hyper acidity problem. But what exactly is piles and what are its symptoms? Do I have piles?

Essential features of fissure - It is a cut in the anal opening through hard stools or other factors.- Pain, burning,itching is more pronounced in this condition with bleeding on & off.- You can see your fissure yourself by keeping a mirror over the floor and looking anus with slight widening of the opening, it is literally a sharp cut. Hemorrhoids are mass of the tissue which protrude outside from anal opening when defecating It has 3 stages. 1st stage has no symptoms or complains in many cases occasional discomfort. 2nd stage mass comes out goes inside, recurrent bleeding when hard stools and sometimes even with soft stools. 3rd stage mass remains outside only.- Differentiating thing that piles are not painful unless 3 rd stage in most instances.
