My husband's USG KUB report shows Multiple Echogenic Foci (2-3) are seen, largest measuring 5.9 mm at lower pole calyx and 3.8 mm, 4.1 mm in middle calyx. Evidence of an echogenic focus measuring 4.7 mm at mid ureter causing proximal hydronephrosis and hydroureter. Dilated proximal ureter AP diameter in 7.5 mm. He is getting hydrotherapy from 3 days. Can these calculus excrete by this or he should go through for shock wave lithotripsy.

Shock wave lithotripsy is done for stones more than 6mm and when it is in calyx but as of now we have to concentrate more on removing his stone which is in the ureter and which is causing him symptoms
