There no point to be worried the majority?at least 60 percent of lung nodules are not cancerous but but it's equally important to note that if a nodule is lung cancer there is still a good chance that it can be cured so no need to worry. Need to do certain investigation to find out the size, growing (cancerous) and non growing (non cancerous) like chest x ray, MRI, CT scan etc. The treatment of lung nodules varies widely depending upon the cause, whether they are related to infections, inflammation, cancer, or other conditions. Most benign lung nodules, especially those that are present and haven?t changed over a period of a few years, can be left alone and surgery could be another option for cancerous one. Consult a pulmonologist for the same.
