My friends daughter 14 years old is behaving very strangely. On discussing we got to know that she is in a relationship with an acquaintance who is a boy 17 years old. She keeps calling him and not concentrating in her studies. We tried to speak with her both politely and harshly but she doesn't seem to listen. She keeps telling that she cannot concentrate on her studies and cannot hide herself from speaking with him. It has reached a situation where she doesn't want to go to school anymore and she keeps telling that she wanted to go away. My friend is completely upset. Can someone please suggest a way to handle my friend and her daughter?

The way is you take her for some counseling to a psychologist. Take away the privilege given to her and means of communication. She could be developing some obsession too. It needs to be adressed and diagnosed.
