I am born with single ventricle. I'm 26 now and have no symptoms. I did not undergo surgeries for Fontan and Glenn as doctor confirmed that there is no need of surgeries as I am doing well. But in the recent past I developed mild anxiety about my defect and confused whether I can get married and live a normal life with my spouse and give her a quality life? I have a girlfriend who is aware of my condition and is willing to accept me for what I am. Currently I am on regular follow up with my cardiologist and medications only. Please help me understand whether I should go ahead and marry her or not?

As you are 26 years old and doctors have confirmed that you do not need surgery and your life is otherwise normal, there is no need for anxiety and you can lead good marital life . To reduce anxiety you can do a counselling and meditation and yoga You have to continue regular check up
