2 STENTS due to heart attack 27 months ago. I am diabetic and hypertension patient too. I take medicine for all these. I have very poor vision in one eye despite intra-ocular lenses. In the other eye I have cataract. I am totally dependent on my left eye for reading, walking etc How safe it is undergo cataract operation with insertion lenses lenses.

Hello Cataract surgery is very safe surgery Visual prognosis depends on condition of retina as diabetes may cause damage to retina of eye Kindly consult local ophthalmologist and ask for retina examination before planning surgery.

Stent has no contraindication for phaco-emulsification with foldable lens implant but vision will depend on condition of your retina because you are suffering from diabetes also & without knowing retinal status no one can predict vision after cataract surgery.
