If doctor has told you to give steam, give plain steam using a vapourizer, holding the baby carefully. Please understand that giving steam is different from giving nebulization. Nebulization is given using the nebulizer machine and oxygen. It needs medicines in the right dose. It is not advisable to do this at home without a doctor's supervision. Hope this helped you!

1 No nebulization if not adviced by doctor. 2 steam use Luke warm water, use is cautiously that it doesn't burn the skin of baby- by chance the water is too warm, let it cool to some extent and then use it and if you see skin getting abit red stop giving steam immediately. 3 other medicine you will have to consult doctor and get baby checked as, different type of chest findings, different medicine needs to be prescribed.

Vaccination has nothing to do with current illness. Only running nose does not need any treatment. If associated with wheezing then only nebulsation may be needed. It should be under supervision of pediatrician.
