It is a false assumption that eating high protein diet will reduce fat and increase muscle. Every gram of protein adds 4 calories which is equal to carbs. If you want to reduce weight you have to cut down all forms of calories from carbs/oils/proteins and balance your daily calories. Some natural protein from Dal's/beans/egg etc will help you by giving you more fullness after meals, which can help in weight reduction.
