Hi Dr. I am from Gujarat, native place is in Kerala. My creatine is 2.2. Before 5 years also my creatine was the same. I am suffering from high B.P. Also. But I have no other diseases like cholesterol, sugar etc. At present I am eating the medicine. (Bio d 3 plus, nefrosave, febuget 40, Nikadiya 20, Arkamin .) I have been continuing this medicine for 5 years. I am consulting Dr. Sujit patel (M.D)in Guajrat. My age is 39. My weight is 77. My hight is approximately 5.7. Now my problem is that there is swelling in my foot. Now what should I have to take the precaution, should I have to continue the medicine. What food should I have to eat? I recommend the following 1. Find out how much of protein you are losing in the urine. Protein in urine rises the creatinine. tablets like ace/arb can reduce protein in urine 2. Avoid red meat 3. Avoid weight lifting exercises 4. Tab nephrosave twice daily has given good results in my patients 5. Most importantly make sure bp is within 130/70 at all times

Hello lybrate user Some amount of leg swelling is common as you are hypertensive and chronic kidney disease patient. It can also occur due to anemia. Mild swelling wont be a problem. But if your leg swelling is associated with decreased urine output and difficulty in breathing, you must consult your doctor immediately. Avoid painkillers which can increase your BP and leg swlling. Be on a salt restricted diet. For Some nicardia tablet also can cause swelling. Consult your doctor and get evaluated. Take care.
