Hello Doctor, Please advice whether me and my family can move completely towards sandha salt instead of Common salt in our daily needs. Thanks.

It won't be much advisable due following reasons 1. Sandha namak is having milder salty flavour. You are likely to put more for taste and total sodium intake may remain same that way 2. You will be at the risk of iodine deficiency as the regular salt is iodized ehile sandha isn't So, the best bet is, try to use regular salt in minimum quantities All the best.

Hi. Thanks for the query. There is no problem in taking rock salt by a healthy person. Although rock salt has more minerals as compared to sea salt and is organic you must understand that it has high sodium content as well. So, as far as consumption is concerned you need to take limited amounts of salt whether rock or sea salt. Also in case of any medical conditions like kidney heart issues you need to take the same precautions as when using regular salt.
