I have a pulling strain on the right posterior side of my neck since past 4 months due to which last three fingers of my right hand go numb at times and my shoulder also aches. What could be the problem? Thanks.

Numbing of fingers indicate a neural involvement, this could be because of involvement of cervical spine (neck) as you said. Wear a soft collar around neck if the tingling or numbness is too much. Avoid bending your neck and perform neural slider exercise of the hand. For proper evaluation and prescription of exercise, pay a visit to a physiotherapist.
