Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc.) genetics. You may have a yellow bacterial film called ?plaque? that occurs naturally in mouth that can build up. if not removed it hardens to form tartar. Advise deep cleaning, polishing, whitening (bleaching) procedures, artificial enamel filling or capping. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min. Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. You may consult me in person.

Hello as you age, the white enamel surface of your teeth may wear down. The yellow core of your teeth becomes more visible. Plaque and tartar buildup on your teeth can also cause them to look yellow. This type of discoloration can usually be treated with a professional dental cleaning. Brush with baking soda. It?s a mild abrasive that can help scrub away surface stains on teeth. Brush twice daily and floss once a day. Eat fruits and vegetables. Limit staining foods and beverages like tea, coffee, and sugary foods. Talk to your dentist for other options like in-office and in-home whitening products.

Hello lybrate-user! first and foremost thing is to determine the underlying cause of yellow teeth. There can be many reasons for this. 1. Extrinsic stains caused by food, beverages and hygiene issues. 2. Intrinsic stains caused by fluoride in water majorly, any trauma to teeth or as age progresses. Now, the treatment will depend upon the nature of stains and we have many options available. You can go for professional cleaning of teeth right from basic i.e. Scaling and polishing of teeth by the dentist. Depending upon the severity of yellowishness, you can opt for professional bleaching of teeth which can be in-office treatment or it can be take-home kits which employs peroxide as the main constituent. -for in-office treatment, gel is applied to your teeth and with help of light source, it will be bleached. -for at home treatment, fabricated trays will be given to you with the medicament that you ll have to wear for the thing to work. These are bleaching procedures which will remove the stains from your tooth surface. The full effects of whitening do not become apparent for around two weeks after bleaching. Remember that the effects of teeth whitening are temporary, so you'll need to keep getting treatments as they wear off if you want to keep your smile white. There is no way to bleach teeth to a "unnatural" whiteness. Some points to keep in mind: -after teeth whitening, refrain from consuming anything with a dark tint for at least a week. -use a straw to drink dark-coloured beverages whenever possible. -maintaining proper dental hygiene, which includes brushing and flossing both before and after meals. Also, micro and macroabrasion techniques are available depending upon the type of stains and discolouration. Hope this will help you. Thank you.
