Hello doctor. Im diagnosed with pcos. I took meprate along with metformin. And my last pill was 12 days ago. But I still did not get my periods. What might be the reason.

Hello, meprate helps in shedding out a thick endometrium. Sometimes if the lining of uterus/endometrium is thin then meprate will not help. Kindly do a urine pregnancy test if applicable and go ahead for a usg scan to check the thickness of the endometrium. If thin- it will require estrogen with progesterone. Meprate (progesterone) will not be sufficient in such cases.

If any chance of pregnancy then do your urine pregnancy test. If not then wait for another 10 days for periods to start. If periods still do not start then you will have to take oestrogen and progesterone combination pills for withdrawal bleeding.

It might mean the endometrium is not prepared. You can wait for few more days. If still period doesn't come, get an ultrasound done. If you are not able to, start krimson 35 and continue for 3 cycles.
