1. The person is mostly asymptomatic and is detected to have infection during screening test prior to blood transfusion. 2. In some patients the symptoms are like hepatitis a a) jaundice, malaise, fatigue, anorexia, b) nausea, vomiting, pain abdomen. C) in 30-90% cases, acute hepatitis b can progress to chronic hepatitis b and can cause cirrhosis/cancer of liver.
