Yes root canal treatment (rct) is absolutely safe, nothing to worry much, you can get it done. Root canal is not life time cure for your teeth, please do not think like that because it always depends on how severe the case is? How your body react to the treatment? How you have maintained your oral hygiene? Type of canals? Extent of caries? Etc etc etc, there are multi factors to say success of a particular treatment. Hence do not think its a life time cure but yes it will be cured if you get an rct treatment done. We as a doctors give our best to treat a particular disease, healing depends on multi factors as I said. So its both doctor and patient responsibility like once we treat after that patients should also maintain and follow the instructions for a successful treatment. Otherwise everything fails.

Hello lybrate-user. Root canal is safe. But after that you cannot be careless in teeth care. Otherwise the cavities will keep occuring in other teeth. For tooth sensitivity you can also take homoeopathic treatment.
