Im 23 year old student with oily skin and at present been suffering from acne vulgaris for the past 2 years (on and off). I have been using epiduo (adapalene 0.1%+ 2.5% benzoyl peroxide) at night wit a suncros 30 aquagel during daytime and coupled that with a ahaglow (glycolic acid facewash) for the cleansing. But, unfortunately my skin has tone has been uneven with hyperpigmentation on whole areas of my face. Please do suggest me a solution for this.

Hi, treatment of acne depends on its severity and type of skin. Epiduo is a good medicine and it has tendency to cause dryness and peeling of skin that can appear as pigmentation or patchiness. So one thing which we need to add is a good moisturiser. Continue using suncross aquagel sunscreen that is good but you have to apply it 15 to 20 mins before stepping out in sun and also repeat its application after every 3 hours then only it will be effective. In case you are getting fresh acne we need to add oral antibiotic along with epiduo gel. For uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation chemical peels are very effective and give good results in 3 to 4 sittings.
