I am 59 years old male. I have been experiencing pain in my left heel every time I get up from sitting or sleeping position. The pain lasts for few minutes and then fades away after I walk for some time. Slight feeling of pain remains even when I am sitting and when I press the heel area. Please advise what I can do to alleviate this problem.

Pain could be because of bony spurs in the heel. Get x-ray done. And wear heel cushions in the shoes, take ultrasound therapy and contrast bath in physiotherapy. It helps along with foot ankle ex's.
